Reputation put in another maintenance drill over the Saratoga training track this morning, covering a half mile in :51.61 outside of male stablemate Racing Driver. She broke off strongly and had to be reined in to allow her workmate to keep pace. They continued on together down the stretch, but she put him away on the gallop out when given her cue.

Team Delgado is also monitoring the G3 Princess Rooney S. at Gulfstream Park on the same day as the aforementioned Dogwood (Sept. 20). Word is that that field might be coming up light. It would come against older horses, but is also at Reputation’s preferred seven-furlong trip and is a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup F/M Sprint. Nominations have not closed yet for the Princess Rooney, but here are the Dogwood nominees.

Both races enter next Saturday.

Reputation has exited last weekend’s race in perfect order and looked great when we visited her this morning.

She earned a 73 Beyer Speed Figure for her performance–maybe not quite as fast as we were expecting, but it doesn’t really change our opinion of her effort or expectations moving forward.

Reputation has remained in South Florida and continues to train well. Plans have changed slightly as she will now wait until the first week of April to ship to Keeneland. This likely eliminates first of the two aforementioned races—she will now point to the second aforementioned race going 1 1/16 miles over the Keeneland lawn on Apr. 12.
