Remington—located in Oklahoma City—opens on August 8. We had considered sending her to a tougher circuit like Kentucky, but at this stage, her speed figures haven’t quite reached the level typically required to be competitive in those deeper allowance races. That said, Steve has commented on her continued progress, and her most recent race—a fast-closing third—was arguably her most best to date.

Catalyst has already proven herself a useful racehorse, with a win and multiple competitive efforts. We’ll continue to give her every chance to build on that resumé, but we also want to be transparent about her long-term path. Once she clears another condition or two, the remaining options will become limited—especially since entering her for a claiming tag isn’t something we’d consider for a filly of her pedigree and value.

With that in mind, we want to begin preparing partners for the possibility that Catalyst will be entered in a breeding stock sale later this fall. Given her strong bloodlines and physical quality, she holds meaningful value as a breeding prospect, and this fall could present the right window if she doesn’t make a significant jump forward on the racetrack.

For now, we remain focused on giving her every opportunity to continue progressing, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Catalyst breezed five furlongs in 1:01.40 this morning at Lone Star Park, working inside of maiden stablemate Gloryibee (by Curlin), and continues to train forwardly following her most recent positive effort last month.
