HORSE OVERVIEW
New York bred colt by perennial leading New York sire Freud, a full-brother to the late, great Giant’s Causeway and the sire of G1 winner Sharp Atzeca. This colt was hand-selected by our highly successful racing partner, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, who is best known for their Breeders’ Cup Classic win with Mucho Macho Man. This colt is eligible for both the New York Bred and New York Sired races.
By perennial leading New York sire Freud, a full-brother to the late, great Giant’s Causeway. Freud has 17 graded stakes winners and 74 stakes winners worldwide to date, including this year’s G1 United Nations S. winner Therapist; and Reeves-owned pair of Dakota Gold, who took the 2021 $500,000 Nownownow S. for trainer Danny Gargan, and Sport Model, a two-time NYSS winner the same year for Christophe Clement. This colt is eligible for lucrative and often not very competitive New York Stallions Series stakes, including a $500,000 event at the end of his juvenile season. His 3-year-old full-sister Orange Freeze took a NYSS race this summer at Saratoga, and the Reeves’ purchased this colt privately after buying his year-older full-brother at auction. This Feb. 22 foal is strong, correct and balanced and looks like a precocious type.
